Curtis grew up in Powell River, BC, a remote, small town without any roads leading out of it. He did not have a lot of money growing up, and as he matured and gained his first job, he put his efforts toward building a better financial future for himself. He began to read books, even university accounting books, to gain knowledge on how he could improve his finances. Eventually, in his 20’s, he would explore outside of Powell River, living in Calgary and Australia, then returning back to Canada and moving to Victoria in 2013 to pursue a career in the financial world. He found a career with IG in 2015, originally as a consultant on his own. He left a few years later to pursue a business idea that did not go as planned, but taught him a great deal about himself and the business world. He returned to IG Wealth Management at the beginning of 2020 to work with Philip and his team as their specialized Assistant. He helps Philip’s practice by managing the Group Benefit business, by building our clients Financial Living Plans and helping clients meet their Insurance needs in whatever way he can.
